Your username MUST be your full first and last name in all lower-case letters & separated by an underscore (for example: jane_doe). Doing this will help ensure our Member Area remains secure and will make communication between members much easier. Registrations done in any other manner will be rejected.

We REQUIRE all users to maintain a complex and unique password for their account to prevent account theft and unauthorized access to this site. All passwords MUST be a minimum of 8 characters and contain at least one capital letter, at least one number and at least one special character.

All registrations must be approved by a moderator to protect our security and all registrations much be accompanied by a working and current email address. You are required to use your personal email address when registering and to keep your account information current. You may NOT use your City of Santa Rosa email address to register. Registration reviews generally take anywhere from just a few minutes, up to 48 hours.

After your registration is approved, you will receive and email telling you your account has been activated. Once it is activated, please login and update your profile details using the "Profile" button on the Main Menu.

By using this site, you agree that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, intentionally inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum.

Note that it is impossible for the POA staff to confirm the validity of every post. Please remember that we actively monitor the posted messages and will remove any messages or posts that are rude or inflammatory to other members. The goal of this forum is to create a place where members are free to express their feelings without fear of people ridiculing them and or creating a hostile environment. If members disrespect other members here, the whole goal of the forum could be lost. This can not and will not be allowed.

The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of the POA staff, its subsidiaries, or the POA membership. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to "report" the post or notify an administrator / moderator of this forum immediately. The POA staff reserves the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if they determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, please realize that they may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. This policy applies to a member's profile information as well.

OUR MEMBERS PRIVACY IS PARAMOUNT. You are not allowed to use the member information contained on this site for any outside purpose, either personal or professional, unless given permission to do so by the person(s) whose information you intend to use.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your posted messages. Furthermore, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the POA or any related websites to this forum. The POA will never release any personal information contained in your profile for any reason without a court ordering the POA to do so.

You agree you will NEVER give out your username and password to anyone but an Administrator. You also agree not to share the content of any sensitive post with another person except other website members. This is for your protection, the protection of the POA and for validity reasons. Lastly, you agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason.

After you register and login to this forum, you will be able to fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility to present clean and accurate information. Any information the forum staff determines to be inaccurate or vulgar in nature will be removed, with or without prior notice.

Also note that the forum software we use here places a cookie (a text file containing bits of information such as your username and password), in your browser's cache. This is ONLY used to keep you logged in/out. The software does not collect or send any other form of information to or from your computer.

The POA understands your desire to protect personal information. We do not collect your personal information on this website unless you enter it yourself. The only information we require that could be construed as personal information is your email address. You email address is not visible to the public or other site users and will never be released to any other person or entity without your permission. Any member who releases personal information of another user to a 3rd party or uses the information for any purpose other that business on this website may be subject to revocation of their membership on the site and potential civil liability.

Site Security:
We have taken security measures, consistent with international information practices, to protect our website and its contents. These measures include automated security systems, daily security scans, daily backups, HTTPS site security encryption and other technical and procedural steps to protect our data from theft, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, loss, alteration, or destruction. None of this matters if a user does not properly secure their account with a strong password. Please take care to secure your account appropriately and ever give your password to anyone.
